Michael’s work spans laboratory experiments, sequencing analysis, and machine learning in biology. He has worked across multiple laboratories designing, optimizing, and executing experiments, with computational experience in bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, Ribo-seq, ChIP-seq, DNA-seq, and protein-localization prediction. He ranked 7th globally in the Arc Institute Virtual Cell Challenge, was an early private beta tester for OpenAI’s GPT-3 API in 2021, and received the NSF Rising Scientist Award and NIH Signaling and Cellular Regulation Training Grant. That combination of wet-lab and computational experience is the foundation of Xplore.
